Call for Posters: 2013 Undergraduate Education Poster Session
The Four-Year College & University Section of NABT invites you and your students to present research and exercises on teaching and learning biology at the NABT Undergraduate Education Poster Session. This event will take place at the 2013 Professional Development Conference, and posters can present the incorporation of new teaching strategies, techniques, or programs. The deadline for submission of poster proposals is July 15th, 2013 and more information is available at 2013 Undergraduate Poster Session.
Call for Proposals: 5th Annual Biology Education Research Symposium
All researchers from 4 year, 2 year and K-12 areas are invited to submit a proposal to present your research in biology education for the NABT Professional Development Conference.This is a refereed session and all accepted papers will be presented during the symposium and published online in the 2013 proceedings. Call for Proposals: Faculty Professional Development Summit “Implementing Vision and Change”
The NABT Four-Year College & University Section’s Professional Development Committee invites you to submit a proposal to present your innovative teaching practice as part of the 2013 Faculty Professional Development Summit.
Following up on last year’s summit on Vision and Change, the theme of this year’s summit is “Implementing “Vision and Change.” The Committee seeks to showcase innovative teaching practices from NABT members nationwide that are in keeping with the ideals of Vision and Change, particularly at 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities.
PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
If you would like to share your work in implementing innovative teaching with other biology educators, we encourage you to submit a proposal to the Summit. Please include:

Abstract (up to 200 words)
Project description: In a 1-2 page word document, please describe your Vision and Change innovation in biology education. The description should describe the background that prompted the change, development and implementation of the change, materials developed, problems and successes encountered, and any formal assessment performed.

The proposal submission deadline is July 15, 2013. After proposal review by the committee, notifications will be sent out by August 15, 2013. The Summit will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the NABT Professional Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
