Hi Kim! He teaches a sophomore-level high school biology course (not honors). THanks so much for teh article and the book reference. That National Geographic special on Rabinowtiz sounds like a perfect lead-in for the activity. Thanks!

Oh I forgot to mention that there was a great article I read on the jaguar conservation efforts of Alan Rabinowitz. It talked about how, after suffering debilitating stuttering most of his life, he found his voice by speaking for the jaguar. I unfortunately cannot put my finger on the article right now (maybe National Geographic), but Rabinowitz has written a book: Jaguar: One Man's Struggle To Establish The World's First Jaguar Preserve (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1559638028) and there is a National Geographic special on him as well (http://atlas.wcs.org/353624/192158)
